01. Service description.
The accepted order identifies the fibre network, speed profile, installation, router, billing cycle and minimum commitment, if any. A line speed describes the package profile; real throughput depends on equipment, contention, remote services and network conditions. Do not treat a coverage map as an installation confirmation.
02. Last-mile provider terms.
A separate network may own and maintain the connection to your premises. Material installation, migration, cancellation and equipment conditions must be identified for your specific order before acceptance. TIN remains responsible for its own contractual commitments; the existence of an upstream provider does not remove your consumer rights.
03. Service availability and confirmation of service availability.
Availability requires address and network checks and can depend on infrastructure or building access. An installation may require landlord, body-corporate or other permission. Confirm the scope, expected dates and any extra civil-work charges before approving work. We will explain available alternatives where an order cannot proceed.
04. Fibre hardware.
The order must identify supplied, purchased or loaned equipment and who owns it. Do not move, disconnect or modify network termination equipment contrary to provider instructions. Return loan equipment where required under the agreed terms; any loss or damage charge must be lawful and justified. Keep an alternative connection if continuity is critical.
05. Identity Verification Requirements (RICA).
Supply verification and authority documents required for activation where applicable. Requirements depend on the service and provider. We will identify the submission process and handle the information under our Privacy Policy.
06. Payment and payment terms.
The accepted order sets the recurring price, installation charges, activation event, billing cycle and any disclosed device subsidy or commitment. Charges for unsuccessful visits or additional work require a disclosed lawful basis; they are not created by this page. General billing and statutory cancellation rights apply.
07. Line faults and repairs.
Report faults through TIN support with the address, account and symptoms. Follow safe checks and permit authorised access where needed. Upstream faults may require network intervention. We will communicate available progress information; no universal repair-time guarantee is made unless your service-level agreement states one.
08. Cancellation / termination.
Request cancellation or migration before arranging a move. The accepted order must explain notice, equipment return and any lawful charges. A new resident’s order does not necessarily cancel the previous account. Qualifying statutory cancellation and cooling-off rights take priority over conflicting provider conditions.
09. Monitoring of usage.
Technical usage and connection records may be processed for billing, capacity, fault diagnosis and lawful security purposes. We do not claim that we continuously inspect all customer content. Any applicable shaping, fair-use or traffic-management rules must be disclosed for the package.
10. Interactions with TIN staff and brands.
Use authorised channels, provide accurate fault information and treat staff respectfully. Keep credentials private. Fair complaints and lawful criticism remain permitted. Do not represent yourself as TIN or an authorised network technician without permission.
11. Disclaimer and limitation of liability.
Physical installation, upstream infrastructure and your own equipment affect service. The general liability terms and mandatory consumer protections apply. Advertised supplier promotions, network-specific package names and installation subsidies apply only when expressly included in a confirmed TIN offer.
