01. Services.
Your order identifies storage, traffic, mailbox, database, account and management allowances. “Unlimited” or “uncapped” must be read with the actual published resource and acceptable-use conditions; it is not a promise of limitless CPU, memory, disk operations or simultaneous connections. Hosting does not include website development, administration, security remediation or migrations unless expressly included.
02. Domain registration.
A domain search is a preliminary availability check. A registration exists only when accepted by the relevant registrar and registry. Your chosen name must not infringe another person’s rights. Provide the correct registrant details and respond to verification requests. We arrange registration through the relevant provider; these terms do not represent TIN as an independently accredited registrar.
03. Domain renewal.
Domains have their own renewal dates and terms. Pay the renewal invoice early enough for processing and ensure renewal instructions and contact details are correct. An expired name can stop resolving or enter registry-controlled recovery or release processes. Grace periods, redemption availability and fees vary; no universal recovery period is promised.
04. Domain transfer.
Transfers require the registered holder’s authority and any applicable authorisation code, verification and registry rules. A transfer may be restricted by a lock, dispute or recent registration/change. We will explain any applicable transfer or renewal cost. Moving a domain does not automatically migrate your website, email, DNS records or cancellation instructions.
05. Free domain registration.
A domain is included without a separate registration charge only when the accepted offer states the extension, initial term and eligibility. Renewal, transfer and other extensions may cost extra. Any lawful recovery of a promotional benefit on cancellation must be clearly disclosed before acceptance; this section does not create a new clawback charge.
06. Compliance with registry policies and terms.
Registrations and transfers must comply with the relevant namespace’s registry and registrar rules, including applicable dispute and verification requirements. The provider and applicable policies must be identified for your order. Registry requirements do not justify a misleading claim that every extension has the same rules.
07. Payment and payment terms.
Hosting and domain charges are separate unless your order bundles them. Billing cycles, renewals and setup charges are shown on the order or invoice. General payment, dispute and lawful cancellation protections apply. A change of package or billing cycle must be confirmed, including any prorated amount, before it becomes chargeable.
08. Shared Hosting.
Shared hosting places multiple accounts on common infrastructure. Stay within your package’s resource and security limits. We may investigate excessive usage or abusive processes and discuss optimisation or a suitable upgrade. The package does not imply root access, a dedicated IP address or a licence to run persistent workers, mail relays or unrestricted background services.
09. Dedicated Hosting.
The order must identify the server, operating system, access level, management scope and included licences. An unmanaged service leaves application administration, patching and backups with you unless otherwise agreed. Hardware replacement and remote assistance depend on the stated support arrangement. No delivery or repair time is guaranteed by these general product terms.
10. Cloud Hosting.
The package must identify allocated compute, memory, storage, operating system and administration responsibility. Cloud hosting does not automatically include high availability, geographic replication, container support, private networking or managed databases. Confirm whether scaling changes the price and whether resizing requires downtime.
11. Rack Hosting.
Colocation arrangements must specify rack space, power, bandwidth, access, installation, cross-connects and equipment ownership. Delivery, authorised access and removal must follow the facility’s procedures. Insurance, remote hands, redundant power and spare hardware are included only if agreed. Equipment-return or lien questions remain subject to contract and law.
12. Website uptime and service levels.
We aim to provide reliable hosting, but do not publish a blanket 100% uptime guarantee. Any measurable availability commitment, exclusions, maintenance process and credit mechanism must be stated in your service-level agreement. Failures in your code, external DNS, third-party integrations and access networks may have different causes and responsibilities.
13. Use at client’s risk.
You control the suitability and legality of your content, applications and account users. Test changes and maintain an independent copy of critical information. This responsibility does not remove TIN’s duty to perform agreed services with the care required by law or your right to a remedy for a proven failure.
14. Backups.
Backup frequency, retention, scope, location and restore support depend on the purchased service and must be confirmed in writing. A hosting control-panel backup feature is not a guarantee of a complete, current or independently stored backup. Keep your own export of essential files, databases and mail. Ask us to confirm restore availability and retention before relying on a backup.
15. Cancellation.
Request cancellation for each affected product and confirm the effective date. Export needed information before expiry or deletion and arrange any authorised transfer. Domain renewals, third-party licences and work already performed may be treated differently from unused hosting, subject to disclosed conditions and mandatory refund rights. The general termination protections apply.
16. Spam / virus filtering.
Email filtering can reduce unwanted or malicious content but cannot detect every threat. Review quarantine and junk folders, verify suspicious requests and do not share passwords. Do not use hosting or mailboxes to send unsolicited bulk email, phishing or malware. Transactional and marketing volumes must comply with your package and lawful messaging requirements.
17. Webmail.
Webmail is an access method for an included mailbox, not a separate archive or backup guarantee. Use secure connections, strong credentials and supported clients. Mailbox storage and sending limits remain those of the package. DNS and authentication changes can affect delivery and must be planned carefully.
18. Limitation on mail size.
Message, attachment, recipient and sending-rate limits depend on the mail platform and package; the recipient’s provider may impose different limits. Confirm current limits with support before planning bulk transfers or campaigns. Use an appropriate secure file-sharing method for large or sensitive files rather than assuming every attachment will be delivered.
19. Take-down notice procedure.
Report alleged unlawful content to support@tinsolutions.co.za with the exact URL, explanation, relevant rights and contact details. We will assess the complaint and applicable law, seek clarification and notify the account holder where lawful and appropriate. Urgent restriction may be necessary for a security incident or lawful direction. A complaint alone does not establish ownership or wrongdoing, and we do not decide court disputes.
20. IP addresses.
Addressing and reverse DNS depend on the package. Shared addresses may affect mail reputation or some integration requirements. A static or dedicated IP address must be expressly included or quoted; it is not guaranteed by the purchase of a domain or SSL certificate.
21. Software updates.
Responsibility for operating-system, control-panel, application, plugin and theme updates depends on the agreed management scope. Keep customer-managed software supported and licensed. Updates can require testing, compatibility work or downtime; provide access and an approved change window when necessary.
22. Interactions with TIN staff and brands.
Use support channels for technical work and protect confidential information. Do not impersonate TIN, claim an unauthorised partnership or use our branding without permission. We will not use a disagreement or fair criticism as a reason to remove a lawful consumer complaint right.
23. Disclaimers, limitations and indemnities.
The general liability section applies. An upstream failure does not automatically excuse every obligation TIN owes you. The cause, agreed service scope and applicable law determine responsibility. We do not promise search rankings, complete attack prevention, loss-free migrations or uninterrupted operation unless a specific lawful commitment has been agreed.
24. EULA for Dedicated Hosting and Linux Resellers.
Included software remains subject to its applicable licence. Control-panel, operating-system, billing and commercial software licences can have account, server, user or location restrictions. Read the EULA (Hosting) section. Reseller access does not authorise redistribution of software outside its licence.
25. Processing of client information.
We and the relevant infrastructure, mail, registry and licence providers process information needed to deliver the service. Your website or mailbox may contain other people’s information; you remain responsible for your lawful instructions and content. Our Privacy Policy explains TIN’s role, safeguards and international-provider considerations.
