01. Assessment and quotations.
We assess the reported fault and explain the recommended work, quoted cost and any agreed diagnostic or call-out charge. Do not assume a charge or free repair simply from an initial enquiry. Extra parts, work or travel require approval. Provide an accurate fault description and tell us about liquid damage, previous repairs or important data.
02. Data and device access.
Back up important data before handing over equipment where possible. Tell us if a backup is not possible or recovery is the purpose of the job. Provide only the access needed; do not share unrelated accounts or banking credentials. We process device information only for authorised work and lawful obligations, with appropriate confidentiality.
03. Recovery and software work.
Data recovery is an attempt, not a guarantee of complete or usable files. Its prospects depend on the fault and media condition. We must explain significant risks and obtain approval for work that can erase data. Operating-system resets, upgrades and malware cleanup may affect files, settings and applications. Only properly licensed software may be installed; licence cost and activation responsibility must be clear.
04. Parts, warranties and collections.
The quote should identify whether a part is new, refurbished or customer-supplied and any applicable warranty. Statutory rights remain intact. Arrange collection after completion and tell us about disputed work promptly. These terms do not create an automatic storage fee, abandonment deadline or right to dispose of an uncollected device.
05. On-site and network work.
Provide safe access and necessary owner or landlord permissions. Agree any downtime and protect critical operations before changes. Equipment, cabling and coverage depend on the site and scope. A Wi-Fi installation does not guarantee every room’s performance unless an appropriate survey and measurable commitment have been agreed.
