1. The Digital Reality

Transactions in Real-Time
TIN Solutions operates on a foundation of transparency. Unlike returning a physical product to a store shelf, digital services utilize resources immediately. Server space is allocated, licenses are generated, and our team books hours in their schedule the moment you click "Pay." Because these are tangible, irretrievable costs to us, we cannot offer blanket refunds. We adhere strictly to the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) while applying the necessary industry-standard exclusions outlined below.

2. Domain Names

Immediate & Final
Domain registrations (e.g., yourbusiness.co.za) are instant. We pay the Central Registry (ZACR) the moment you complete your order. These funds cannot be recalled.

Strict Rules:

  • Typos: We cannot refund fees if you misspell a domain name (e.g., "busines.co.za"). Please triple-check your spelling before payment.
  • Transfers: If you move a domain to another host, you forfeit the remaining time on your registration. Pro-rata refunds are not issued.

3. Web Design & Deposits

The 50% "Kick-Off" Rule
Custom projects (Branding, App Dev, Web Design) rely on human expertise. To book our team's time, a 50% deposit is mandatory.

Cancellation Policy: This deposit is strictly non-refundable once the project has started (i.e., after the briefing or first draft). It covers scoping, server provisioning, and initial concept labor.

Taste vs. Brief: We do not refund based on "personal taste." If we deliver work matching your provided brief, we offer standard revisions to fine-tune it, not a refund.

4. Statutory & "Hard" Costs

Third-Party Disbursements
We act as a payment gateway for several external services. Once we have paid these providers on your behalf, the money is considered "spent."

  • CIPC (Pty Ltd): Government registration fees are final once submitted to the CIPC system. Even if an application is rejected due to invalid Director info provided by you, the fee is lost.
  • Licenses: Keys for cPanel, Microsoft 365, or SSL Certificates are non-refundable once generated by the vendor.

6. Process & Protocol

How to Claim a Refund
For financial security and audit purposes, we do not process reversals based on informal requests.

The Rules: 1. Log a Ticket: Use your Client Portal or email billing@tinsolutions.co.za.
2. No WhatsApps: Voice notes or texts are not accepted as formal cancellation notice.
3. Abuse Clause: If your account is terminated for Spamming, Phishing, or Fraud, you strictly forfeit all rights to a refund.

5. Hosting & Data Rules

Hosting (Refundable):
We want you to feel safe. New Shared Hosting clients have a 30-day money-back guarantee. If our uptime or speed doesn't impress you, we will refund the hosting portion of your invoice 100%. (Excludes domain costs).

Mobile Data (Non-Refundable):
LTE and Mobile Data are "consumables." Once bundles are loaded onto a SIM card, they cannot be reversed or "unloaded," regardless of coverage issues in your specific area. Please check coverage maps before purchasing.
